- Use proper phone etiquette and courtesy with customers, suppliers and co-workers.
- Aggressively quote customers, sharing marketplace intelligence obtained promptly to both management and other sales personnel.
- Accurately complete sales orders and contract reviews.
- Review computer generated sales orders to customer purchase orders for accuracy.
- Immediately record customer sales order into the production system.
- Follow up and research late customer orders.
- Record customer complaints as received utilizing the Customer Complaint Report and forward to the Quality Department for action.
- Contact dormant accounts with intention of making them active customers.
- Manage change orders to completion as necessary.
- Actively monitor outworks and other purchase order status affecting customer satisfaction.
- Monitor customer special stock levels to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Assist with export compliance documentation as necessary.
- Perform internal audits as required.
- Complete assignments according to priority, with moderate supervision while minding the financial goals and quality objectives of the company.
- Communicate effectively with Inside Sales Representatives, Customers, Outside Sales, Quality Assurance, Production, Shipping & Receiving and Administrative Departments.
- Train continuously on quality procedures, impact sales and anything else deemed appropriate by the General Manager to improve skills and abilities.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Microsoft Office proficiency, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent organizational, problem solving skills, and time management skills
- Ability to effectively multi-task
- Operate with high integrity, maintaining positive relations with co-workers, customers, and suppliers
- Strong work ethic; self-motivated
- Two or more years of experience in an office setting performing similar responsibilities
- Previous sales and/or accounting experience
