Location: Huntsville, AL

Salary*:

$75K-$85K

  • Dependent upon qualifications

Essential
Functions:

  • Develop and implement policies, standards, and procedures for the MSP Service Desk Team
  • Plan and formulate Service Desk program, and organize staff according to team mission requirements
  • Coordinate and direct projects, make detailed plans to accomplish goals, and direct the integration of technical activities
  • Monitor progress against project schedules and budgets; recommend allocation of resources as required to accomplish goals
  • Analyze and solve technical problems with the assistance of teammates
  • Direct, review, and approve product design and changes
  • Review team objectives for competence and consistency to ensure alignment with corporate objectives
  • Develop evaluation criteria that will serve to measure progress and effectiveness of team operations
  • Drive continuous improvement of processes, quality, and cost to maintain profitability and competitiveness
  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership on key tasks and issues
  • Create, collect, and report assigned team metrics to senior leadership on the assigned timeline
  • Provide guidance to team members on developing their personal technical skills and on the implementation of technical solutions
  • Assist in team training and the recruiting of new team members
  • Oversee team development and maintenance of staff capabilities

Required Qualification

  • MUST be a US Citizen with the ability to pass an extensive background check
  • Must have CompTIA Security certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
  • Five years or more of experience designing, building, and maintaining Enterprise IT Infrastructure
  • At least two years of experience in technical leadership, skills in problem solving and conflict resolution
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks, assess priorities, and operate in a flexible manner to meet the dynamic needs of the client and team
  • Ability to encourage and incentivize highly skilled technicians to think and act as a team
  • Excellent analytical skills including the ability to analyze, troubleshoot, process, change and improve design and process

Optional/Desired Qualifications

  • Windows 10 Administration
  • Windows Server 2008R2, 2012R2, 2016 Administration
  • Office365Administration
  • Experience with Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive for Business CloudApp Security, Intune, and Azure AD is highly valued and preferred.
  • Connectwise/Kaseya or Service Now knowledge
  • Microsoft certifications (MTA,MCSA,MCSE,etc)
  • VMware VCP and/or Cisco CCNA

Work Conditions

Work is typically performed in an office environment. Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time. The person in this position will often move about inside the office to maintain computers and machinery. The person in this position frequently communicates with employees and clients.
