JOB TITLE: HSE Lead – Gulf of Mexico IRM

REPORTS TO: The HSE Lead reports to the GoM Country Manager and also when deployed to a project, to the Project Manager. From a functional perspective, the role reports to the UK & Global IRM HSE Manager.

LOCATION: Onshore

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACTIVITIES

• Ensure Subsea 7 Group vision, and Group and regional business and HSSEQ strategies, are understood by the GoM team and incorporated within GoM plans.
• Support the UK&GIRM HSE Manager to monitor and report GoM HSE performance against targets. Develop and lead country level improvement plans and coordinate Project plans as required.
• Ensure suitable HSE support and expertise is provided to GoM projects, in line with Subsea7 requirements
• Ensure suitable HSE support and expertise is provided to Workshop / Facilities teams, in line with Subsea7 requirements
• Provide HSE support to ensure that all project and worksite activities are controlled as per Subsea7 risk assessment process
• Provide recruitment support to maintain adequate HSE resource levels
• Drive management and delivery of the HSE audit program for GoM
• Liaise with GoM Quality Lead in preparation for GoM Management Reviews, identify country focus areas and strategy for implementation.
• Liaise with UK&GIRM HSE Manager to provide input to Health & Safety and Environmental Management Reviews and implementation of continuous improvement action as required.
• Provide HSE support to GoM tendering team
• Liaise with SCM to ensure HSE support to supplier assessments, audits and performance reviews as required.
• Coordinate HSE external audits including third party certification, local authority

and client audits.

• Coordinate the management of incident and near miss investigations, ensuring compliance with Subsea7 requirements. Provide HSE expertise to investigations.
• Participate in LMT reviews, oversee Verification of Effectiveness of actions and performance reporting including trending, and implementation of associated regional level actions
• Support the UK&GIRM HSE Manager in the development and issue of HSE alerts from GoM

incidents and near misses.

• Proactive, timely management of Synergi cases within GoM
• Liaise with Project Managers, Offshore Management Team and other stakeholders to ensure lessons learned are communicated and embedded within ways of working
• Provide coaching, training and engagement activity on Subsea7 HSE requirements with GoM personnel as necessary
• Ensuring suitable Emergency Response support to GoM vessels and worksites, inclusive of planning and supporting in regular exercises and drills
• Ensuring ongoing compliance in contractor management systems, e.g., ISNetworld
• Liaise with country HR to ensure ongoing compliance with D&A program, assuming the role of Designated Employer Representative (DER)
• Maintaining current knowledge of country and international legislation, keeping legislation registers and compliance management systems up to date with site activities
• Coordinating required HSE external training for site personnel

Liaison with GoM Vessel Management Team for ongoing support to GoM vessels

PERSON SPECIFICATION

• Experienced HSE Professional.
• Degree level qualification or equivalent experience.
• Chartered Member of Institute of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH) or working towards.
• Strong technical background including HSE Risk Management and Management of Change.
• Relevant previous experience at an appropriate level in the subsea or wider energy industry including working knowledge of EPIC and IRM Projects and operations.
• Good organizational, negotiation, communication and report writing skills.
• Capable of presentation and discussion at Senior Management Level.
• Proven incident investigation including root cause analysis and incident management experience.
• Experienced Auditor.
• Analytical and systematic in work with an enthusiastic approach to problem solving.
