Nailor Industries is Hiring a HSE Specialist Near Houston, TX

Nailor Industries, Inc. is known for our industry leading customer focused approach to providing innovative commercial and industrial HVAC products. Nailor manufactures a unique and comprehensive line of products including Air Control & Distribution products, VAV Terminal Units, Green Building products, Fan Coil Units, Electric Duct Heaters, Sound Attenuators, Air Handling Units, and Filter Housings.
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail oriented HSE Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining safety compliance and environmental programs to ensure compliance with regulations and create a safe working environment.
The HSE Specialist will collaborate with various departments to assess risks and implement proactive measures to enhance the overall health and safety culture within the organization. This role reports to the HSE Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of workplace environments to identify potential hazards and risks. (Active presence on the shop floor)
  • Analyze incident reports and trends to develop strategies for accident prevention.
  • Stay up to date with local, state, and federal regulations related to health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Ensure the organization's compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses.
  • Prepare detailed reports outlining root causes and recommend corrective actions.
  • Conduct drills and simulations to test the effectiveness of emergency procedures.
  • Foster a culture of safety and environmental responsibility throughout the organization.
  • Implement initiatives to encourage employee engagement in safety practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training sessions, and incidents.
  • Prepare regular reports for management on the status of HSE programs.
  • All other duties assigned by the HSE Manager.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • High School Diploma with minimum 2yrs manufacturing experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar HSE role.
  • Proven track record of successful implementation of safety and environmental programs.
  • Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (OSHA 30hr, Hazwoper 24hr) is highly desirable.
  • In-depth understanding of local, state, and federal HSE regulations.
  • Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies and incident investigation techniques.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. (Multi-Lingual, Spanish or Vietnamese a plus)
  • Ability to effectively communicate safety concepts to individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence positive change.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to think critically and develop effective solutions to complex HSE challenges.
