Steptoe LLP seeks a mid-level Associate to join the Commercial Litigation practice group in the Firm's Los Angeles or Century City office. Qualified candidates will have 5 -7 years of litigation experience, including experience drafting briefs and motions, handling fact and expert discovery, engaging in deposition and trial preparation, and conducting depositions, cross examinations, and other oral advocacy. Federal clerkship experience is a plus as is working fluency in Spanish.

These teams work together to complete multiple projects, meet overlapping deadlines, and deliver results to clients from various industries, including energy, mining, real estate, and entertainment, in large scale, national and international disputes. This position will also provide the opportunity to work across practice groups with lawyers in the International Arbitration and Investigations and White Collar groups.

Candidates must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, a track record of insightful research and analysis, and persuasive writing abilities. The expected salary for this position is $345,000 - $400,000, depending on experience.
