Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Instructional Assistant to join our team. As an Instructional Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational development of students. This position requires experience in curriculum development, literacy education, and classroom management. If you have a background in early childhood education or special education, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and activities
- Provide one-on-one support to students who require additional assistance
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the lead teacher
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to develop and modify curriculum materials
- Assist with classroom management and behavior management strategies
- Support students during classroom activities, including group work and individual assignments
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed
Experience:
- Previous experience working with children in an educational setting, such as daycare or early childhood education
- Familiarity with curriculum development and lesson planning
- Knowledge of childhood development and educational best practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other staff members
- Experience working with students with special needs is a plus
