MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and one (1) year of administrative experience; or
A master’s degree from an accredited college or university can substitute for the required experience; or
Administrative or clerical experience can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.
An equivalent combination of education and experience which equals five (5) years can substitute for the above requirements.
Requires possession of a valid class E driver license.

JOB DUTIES:
This is a professional and confidential position assisting management in the coordination of administrative tasks and/or assignments which are complex in nature and very broad in objective with integration of diverse functions. Work involves the performance of administrative objectives and priorities which involve independent planning and coordination.
Responsible for the overall administrative function of the district. This includes the responsibility for all employee records, personnel matters which include assisting and reviewing all work assignments as it relates to carrying out the rules and regulations in regards to employment, terminations, demotions, disciplinary actions, grievance proceedings, insurance, retirement, commercial driver licenses, drug testing program and worker’s compensation issues. This position assists the Center Manager with the research, development and implementation of subject matters relating to collective bargaining issues.
Represents the Center Manager in contacts with public officials, other governmental agencies, and the public including providing information to newspapers, television stations, and other news media; carries out assignments and acts for the Center Manager during absences. Processes a variety of correspondence, investigates subject matter, and prepares replies.
Maintains contact list for the District Work Capacity Testing Program, which includes the pre-employment testing of firefighter candidates, subsequent annual testing, and arranging medical testing.
Serves as the official liaison between the district and state office on all administrative matters.
Performs related work duties as required.
