Prominent domestic and international law firm seeks an Employee Benefits focused Associate Attorney (JD class 2021 or 2022) to join its expanding New York practice group.
Candidate will have 2-3 years of substantial employee benefits experience within a major law firm setting ; Engagement in the following: Executive compensation and employee benefits matters ; Executive compensation plans and programs ; Employment agreements ; the securities law aspects of compensation and benefits ; Employee benefits aspects of M&A transactions ; Keen ability to perform legal research primarily in Employee Benefits law; ability to use library reference materials and/or electronic resource tools ; Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, WORD, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
Stellar academic credentials (Law Review and/or Moot Court accolades preferred) ; Strong drafting, research, and verbal & written communication skills required ; NY Bar

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-Counseling clients on all matters affecting employee benefits including executive compensation, qualified plans, and health & welfare plans.
-Assisting clients with every aspect of their employee benefits needs— from designing, drafting, and implementing plans and agreements to counseling on compliance and fiduciary duties.
-Representing clients at every level—whether regional, national, or international—and have the experience and relationships to service a broad range of industries.
-Conducting legal research and analysis.
-Performing due diligence.
-Drafting employee benefit and executive compensation plans and arrangements and related sections of M&A transaction
documents.
-Maintaining effective working relations with others.
