GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION: This position reports to the Senior Manager, Public Safety. The Manager, Public Safety is responsible for maintaining public safety policies and procedures that will protect Enterprise Center & Stifel Theatre, their assets, employees, and guests. This position has oversight of the 24/7 Building Security Officers. They will enforce policies and procedures that guide all organizations within Enterprise Center & Stifel Theatre regarding public safety. This position is responsible for helping conduct safety/security audits of Enterprise Center & Stifel Theatre on a regular basis to ensure effective and efficient operations. They will work with the Senior Manager, Public Safety to establish a Crisis Management Team for response to events of suspected criminal or terrorist attack. This position is also responsible for upholding parking/traffic management plans for Enterprise Center & Stifel Theatre. They will assist in planning and managing the annual Public Safety budget. They will aid in the coordination of staff, clients, and promoters as needed for the successful presentation of events, as well as support our goal of providing “an unparalleled guest experience.” SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in planning and overseeing daily facility safety and security of Enterprise Center & Stifel Theatre
Responsible to the Senior, Manager Public Safety for the facilities readiness condition, ability to support events, and day-to-day safety operations
Responsible for managing the parking needs for events throughout the complex
Assist in the management of the Who’s On Location system and it’s components
Assist the Senior Manager, Public Safety in administering OSHA training programs, investigations, and employee certification tracking
Perform pre-event walks to ensure venue safety and security readiness. Report any safety or liability concerns to building operations department for immediate attention
Assist in building and managing a Crisis Management Team that deals with protocols for public safety response to events of suspected criminal or terrorist attacks
Help Lead the facility security operations of Enterprise Center & Stifel Theatre by developing a team of highly qualified Facility Security Officers with a focus on safety, security, and guest experience
Assist in the preparation, planning, and maintenance of the annual public safety budget
Assist in planning, scheduling, and operation of full-time, part-time, and contractual security staff
Review schedules, incident reports, and injury reports to ensure completion and consistency.
Audit and maintain all security equipment and inventory i.e., X-Ray Machines, Metal Detectors, Tables, Who’s on Location, Guard Patrol, CCTV, Door Access, Credentials, Keys, Bag Check Tags, Etc.
Submit reports to the Senior Manager Public Safety for approval
Manage Facility Security Officers responsible for 24/7 protection of interior and exterior of complex
Uphold policies and procedures for life and fire safety
Respond to emergency calls and coordinate with outside resources, as necessary
Provide guidance to staff, tenants, and guests on facility public safety protocols and needs
Set training and work priorities based on event schedules and coordinate with Senior Manager
Maintain proper dress attire for self and all personnel assigned
Review assigned personnel and make recommendations on promotions
Supervise the implementation and completion of all contractual services inside/outside of the facilities as it relates to the public safety department
Must be a self-starter and able to work long irregular hours
Delegate responsibilities to staff and confirm expectations are met
Ensure that all work performed is in accordance with industry practices and safety regulations
Handle guest questions and complaints politely and efficiently
Maintain a pleasant and professional image
Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related knowledge
Minimum of 3 years in a multipurpose Arena/Stadium environment or 3 years of experience in local or federal law enforcement
Security experience in an entertainment type setting is preferred
Must have knowledge in the field of alarms, CCTV, credentials, and door access systems
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of computer programs i.e., Word, Excel, Power Point, ISS 24/7, Time and attendance, Guard1 etc.
CONTINUING EDUCATION:
Attend public safety meetings and conferences as it relates to the public safety functions and components of Enterprise Center & Stifel Theatre
Stay up to date with security equipment, licenses, and emergency procedures for life & fire safety
Attend yearly security officer re-certification training to maintain an active security license
