Become a key player as an EHS Manager:
The EHS Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of environmental, health, and safety protocols within our manufacturing plant, ensuring compliance with EPA and OSHA regulations, and promoting a culture of safety throughout the organization.
Here’s how you’ll make an impact on the team:
  • Define plant safety and health plan requirements for facilities in St. Louis, MO and Kenova, WV
  • Oversee the safety committee and routinely monitor the facility and lines for potential safety hazards
  • Develop and implement comprehensive environmental management systems to minimize the company's environmental impact and ensure compliance with EPA regulations
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards, assess risks, and implement corrective actions as necessary
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement policies and procedures that promote a safe working environment and comply with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards
  • Provide leadership and guidance to employees on environmental, health, and safety best practices
  • Oversee and develop the safety training program to ensure that all employees are aware of their responsibilities and can operate in a safe manner
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and develop strategies to prevent recurrence
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to environmental permits, inspections, training, and incident reports
  • Complete regular job hazard assessments
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, including OSHA and the EPA, and ensure timely reporting and compliance with all applicable regulations and permits
  • Stay informed about changes in environmental, health, and safety regulations and standards, and proactively recommend adjustments to policies and procedures as needed
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance environmental performance, reduce waste, and promote sustainable practices throughout the organization
  • Collaborate with senior management to establish and achieve environmental, health, and safety goals and objectives that align with the company's overall mission and values
Here’s what you’ll need to be successful in this role:
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., Certified Safety Professional) preferred
  • Minimum of five years of experience in environmental, health, and safety management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting
  • In-depth knowledge of EPA regulations, OSHA standards, and other relevant environmental, health, and safety laws and regulations
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential risks and issues
  • Availability to travel between locations a few times per year.
Pay Range: 
$90,000 - $110,000/ annually
