ResponsibilitiesThis is a great opportunity for a seasoned Pharmacist with at least 5 years of hospital experience who is able to provide daily leadership and services to the inpatient pharmacy team at CMH. This position is under the direction of the CMH System Director of Pharmacy. Responsibilities include:
- Operating a safe and efficient drug distribution system to interpret, prepare, and check patient medication orders/prescriptions.
- Providing clinical and drug information to meet the needs of physicians, nurses, and patients.
- Performing medication reconciliation to enhance medication safety by providing a smooth continuum of care and decreasing potential drug-related problems due to incomplete or inaccurate information.
- Collaborating with all care providers to ensure continuity of care for patients as they move throughout the organization.
- Supervising and/or preparing IV solutions and injectable medications.
- Implementing and overseeing processes for the distribution of controlled substances.
Job Requirements
- Education: Doctor of Pharmacy
- License: Current Missouri Pharmacist License
- Experience: 5 years of experience in a hospital pharmacy setting is required.
