Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resources Associate to join our Admin team. The Human Resources Associate will be responsible for providing support in various HR functions, including but not limited to recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and HR administration.

Responsibilities:

Onboarding & Offboarding:

  • Assist in the recruitment process as needed.
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding activities, including preparing for orientations, conducting orientation sessions when needed, and ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed.
  • Conducting background checks, motor vehicle reports or other pre-employment screenings as needed.
  • Submit required reports to appropriate reporting agencies at hire and termination

Employee Relations:

  • Create daily attendance reports for management
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related queries and concerns.
  • Assist in resolving employee relations issues, including conflicts and grievances, in accordance with company policies and procedures.

  • Run monthly eligibility reports
  • Help with open enrollment

HR Administration:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personnel files and other databases.
  • Prepare HR-related reports and presentations as needed.
  • Assist in the implementation of HR policies and procedures.

Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations.
  • Assist in conducting audits and assessments to ensure HR processes align with legal requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Previous experience in HR or related administrative roles preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Possess a customer service perspective.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
  • Experience in a construction-related industry and fluency in both English and Spanish are preferred, but not required
