Spence-Chapin Services to Families and Children is Hiring a Coordinator, International Programs 2024 Near New York, NY
Title: Coordinator, International Programs 2024 Reports to: Director, International ProgramsDepartment: International ProgramsPrimary PurposeThe Coordinator of International Programs will have administrative as well as client-facing duties within the department. The coordinator will be responsible for providing administrative and program support for families who reside in New York or New Jersey and who are working with Spence-Chapin for home study or post placement services. This role also includes administrative responsibilities supporting our international aid and international adoption programs. The ideal candidate is detail oriented and can communicate with, engage, and support a diverse population of pre-adoptive and adoptive families. This is an in-person position with an annual salary range of $50,000-$60,000 commensurate with experience.Spence-Chapin is a non-profit organization based in New York City that has been providing adoption services and support for more than 110 years. Provide comprehensive case management for families pursuing an international adoption
Engage clients through phone, e-mail, and in-person meetings
Manage client electronic and physical files which are audited annually for compliance
Provide ongoing support to one or more Granny Program sites
Provide administrative support to the department
Perform any other department or agency-related duties or special projects as directed by supervisor, including but not limited to, document development, presentations, workshops, and training.
Education & Experience
Experience in an administrative support role required
Experience working with sensitive populations, particularly children and families preferred
High school diploma or equivalency required, college degree a plus
Knowledge of and sensitivity to cultural diversity and cross-cultural issues
Technical Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe
Comfort with other technology including social media, webinars, and video chat
Experience with database platforms a plus
