Spectrum Environmental Solutions is Hiring a Business Development - Technical Sales Manager Near Austin, TX

Job Description:

We are seeking a with specialized experience in ambient and fenceline air monitoring, CEMS, analyzer systems integration, and the environmental requirements for such systems. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in leading growth opportunities in new industrial sectors. This position requires identification, outreach, follow-up, and working within a multi-disciplinary team with multiple interfaces to customers, while leading the targeted sales of our unique analyzer solutions. The position requires simultaneous involvement in multiple technical business areas across a variety of industries including semi-conductors, petroleum refining, oil and gas, petrochemicals, mining and materials, as well as medical devices and water treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, organize, outreach, contact, and develop direct Sales opportunities related to Spectrum’s business lines for environmental consulting and measurement projects with a focus on ambient and fenceline monitoring and CEMS solutions.
  • Design and implement targeted sales campaigns while overseeing contact’s data collection, analysis, and reporting processes.
  • Review, understand, and communicate effectively to potential clientele the environmental and business motivation for our products and services.
  • Take responsibility for the development of project scope as well as work proposal creation and planning, including the development of a project plan.
  • Collaborate on the development of project cost estimates with a level of detail and accuracy according to project phase; support project budget and cash-flow management while driving continuous improvement related to safety, quality and cost.
  • Facilitate development of project execution strategy and schedule with the level of detail and accuracy according to project phase.
  • Monitor project progress and compile project reports applying best practices related to project management, engineering, and construction.
  • Partner on the development of specifications, drawings, standards, and codes.
  • Coordinate with engineers, scientists, and technicians on project execution.
  • Provide guidance on advanced air monitoring techniques such as optical absorbance spectroscopy and gas chromatography.
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to their professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of analyzer, CEMS, and air monitoring project management experience, preferably in ambient and fenceline air monitoring projects.
  • Expertise in advanced air monitoring techniques, such as optical absorbance spectroscopy or gas chromatography, is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience with air quality regulations and measurement methodologies.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage complex projects.
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
