Space Ground System Solutions (SGSS), a subsidiary of Parsons, has an immediate full-time opening for a senior level Project Manager (PM) at our corporate office in Melbourne, FL, to support programs at our customer site. The Project Manager (PM) will plan, budget, oversee, and document all aspects of the project(s) assigned. They will be expected to develop and maintain effective working relationships with Team Members at all organizational levels and proactively work with a variety of customers to gather and analyze technical requirements and develop technical solutions. The Sr PM will create and develop presentations and reports for senior management and will be responsible to develop and/or assist with the development of Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, Process Flows, and documents relating to policy and procedures. The Sr PM is expected to utilize best practices and techniques for addressing customer concerns and actively respond to requests, questions, or comments concerning the team and assigned responsibilities.

Responsibilities - Essential Functions:

• Proactively communicate with customers and team members to anticipate and solve problems
• Strong communications and customer facing skills especially with senior leadership
• Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach to management
• Must possess excellent organizational and planning skills
• Superior project management and time management skills
• Must be proficient in MS Office Suite, Project and Visio
• Knowledge of satellite ground systems to include RF, crypto equipment and networks
• Comfortable in briefing and communicating with senior government managers and with consultant SMEs.
• Ability to develop plans in Microsoft Project and track key cost, schedule, and performance parameters. (desired)

Required Skills/Abilities - Competencies:

• Must have an active Secret clearance
• US Citizen
• Master's degree or 15 years of equivalent work experience
• 10 or more years professional experience as a PM or Systems Engineer
• Must meet eligibility requirements associated with obtaining an active DOD TS/SCI clearance

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

• Department of Defense (DoD), and preferably Navy work experience
• Knowledge of Space System, Satellite Ground Systems, Ground System Operations, or Satellite Operations
• PMP Certification (desired)
