Job: General Manager, Full Time

Reporting to Owner/General Manager, the General Manager (GM) is responsible for the general day to day needs of the Space Cowboy concept. This position requires a passion for delivering unique experiences for guests while simultaneously ensuring the staff is executing all service standards and enjoying their own work experience. This individual is excited to be a part of a new experience venture in Austin; offering a level of enthusiasm with regard to staff and guest management in this compelling new concept.

As a leader, the GM must conduct him/herself in a professional manner, lead by example when it comes to customer care, and actively encourage/motivate staff on a daily basis.

The GM of Space Cowboy understands the ins and outs of a restaurant operation, with the ability to pull, read and interpret reports in order to adjust for staff and customer feedback and as well as monetary and operational goals.

The food and beverage menus are globally inspired with an affinity for utilizing unconventional ingredients and flavors creating a unique experience for guests. All Space Cowboy staff must have a willingness to explore, learn and expand their ingredient repertoire in order to maximize the guest experience.

Responsibilities:

- Management of day-to-day operations including but not limited to: staffing, management of monies, staff checkouts, customer feedback, guest interaction and management, f&b quality control, managing service and f&b standards, FOH and BOH operations coordination, etc.

- Maintain a thorough product knowledge to assist guests and maintain product knowledge standards for staff

- Interviewing/recruiting new employees
- Training management of new and current staff
- Ensuring new and current staff comply with company policies regarding uniforms, behavior, service standards, etc.
- Recording payroll data as needed
- Ordering equipment, product, linen, f&b items as needed, while maintaining budget
- Controlling operational costs to hit goals and budgets
- Inventory/product management
- Pulling and reviewing daily, weekly and monthly reports as needed
- Comprehension of f&b safety

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Bachelors or bachelor’s equivalent, preferred
- Two to five years previous restaurant/bar management experience
- TABC certified
- Food Manager certification, preferred
- Appropriate customer service and social perceptiveness
- Ability to evaluate customer satisfaction and responsiveness
- Physical ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 30lbs
- Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays
- Understanding of basic financials and PMIX reporting

Compensation:

70k annually
raise after taking over GM role after 6-12 months

bonus based on performance & sales
