Schedule: Full Time, 8 HR Day Shift,

POSITION SUMMARY

Perform and provide personal secretarial and professional assistant to the Director of EMS, Assistant Chief of EMS Operations and Captains. Greet visitors, answer phone and directing calls to appropriate persons. Receive and disseminate information as appropriate. Prepares correspondence, generates reports as required, and relieves other secretaries as needed. Assists with special projects. Promotes team spirit and excellence.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• High school diploma or GED required, with completion of college or vocational courses preferred.
• Prefer three to five years of previous experience in an administrative professional role such as secretary.
• This represents the minimal level of knowledge which is necessary to assume full responsibility and perform the work effectively.

Office setting. Safe working environment, possibility of irregular work hours upon request. Perhaps some discomfort due to noise and crowded conditions. A moderate amount of stress at times. Involves sitting, standing, and bending.
