We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Test Engineer to join our growing team in Arlington, VA. This role requires a blend of Agile coaching, program management, and strong leadership skills. This individual must possess strong facilitation skills, must promote continual improvement, and must have the ability to coach and motivate teams, and address and resolve conflict.

Responsibilities

• Test Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies to ensure software quality. Define testing processes, tools, and methodologies suitable for the projects.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of test engineers. Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide guidance and feedback; Ensure that defects are mapped back to the original agile requirement CUI CUI 22.
• Quality Assurance: Oversee the execution of test plans, monitor testing processes, and ensure that all tests are conducted according to the established standards.
• Test Automation: Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks;Encourage and lead efforts in automating tests to improve efficiency and coverage.
• Issue Tracking and Reporting: Track and document all testing defects, to include recurring defects, and resolutions; Provide detailed reports on testing activities and outcomes to stakeholders.
• Collaboration with Development Teams: Work closely with software developers to understand requirements and ensure that testing strategies align with development goals; Facilitate communication between the quality assurance and development teams to resolve issues.
• Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluate testing processes and tools for potential improvements; Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in software testing.

Qualifications

• Experience applying Agile methodologies and tools on at least one IT related development program, to include defining and testing user story acceptance criteria.
• Experience with HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and HP Performance Center (or similar tool for Performance/Load testing.)
• Acquired knowledge (10 years preferred) in planning, directing, and managing interoperability testing (interfaces, data quality, etc.).
• Extensive knowledge in planning, directing, and managing all major testing events (e.g., functional, regression, performance/load etc.).
• Experience applying automation testing.
• Experience as Test Lead on at least one similar size or scope on an IT related program in Federal, DoD or IC agency.
• Extensive experience as a Software Test Engineer, to include developing test scripts, scenarios, and use cases.
• Extensive experience (10 years) developing and executing detailed test plans. 
• Experience testing ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft etc.), five or more years preferred.
• Software Test Certification such as International Software Testing Qualification Board (ISTQB) Advanced Test Manager.
• At least one SAFe certification such as SAFe Agilist, SAFe Program Consultant or PMI-ACP is desired.
• Proven success using modern DevSecOps methods and tools including automated testing tools and monitoring tools is desired.
• Experience as Test Lead on a PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 or Global Payroll implementation (5 or more years preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related Engineering or IT discipline; or a non-technical Bachelor’s degree plus 4 additional years of relevant software development and/or testing experience.
• Active Secret clearance.
