Snowlake Management is Hiring a Property Manager Near Chicago, IL

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive Multi-Family Property Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations as the building manager of our Chicago properties, ensuring tenant satisfaction, and maintaining property standards. The Multi-Family Property Manager will handle various tasks including reaching out to delinquent tenants, negotiating renewal offers, coordinating unit turnover, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to)

1. Reach out to delinquent tenants and assist with payment plans to ensure timely rent collection.
2. Conduct daily building walks on all Chicago properties to identify and address any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
3. Negotiate renewal offers with tenants, striving to maintain high occupancy rates and tenant satisfaction.
4. Follow up with tenants regarding work orders and unit turnover, ensuring timely completion and quality standards.
5. Be present for inspections, including subsidy and Chicago Housing Authority (CHA) inspections, and address any issues identified.
6. Deliver notices to tenants as needed, adhering to legal requirements and company policies.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience as a Property Manager or similar role, preferably in multi-family residential properties.
2. Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact responsively and effectively with tenants, vendors, and team members.
3. Excellent organizational and time management skills, capable of prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
4. Knowledge of property management software (Appfolio) and basic computer proficiency.
5. Familiarity with local housing laws and regulations, particularly in the Chicago area.
6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
7. High school diploma or equivalent8. Access to a reliable vehicle and cell phone
