Role Description:

In the role of Senior Data Analyst, you will be part of an ever growing team that supports and protects the Core Values of Safety National. You will work closely with the Manager of Architecture and Engineering, Data Architects, Data Engineers, and BI Analysts to protect information assets of the company, including intellectual property, personally identifiable information, and protected health information, against unauthorized and/or disclosure by appropriately handling and transmitting information in accordance with Safety National policies.

Your day-to-day responsibilities as a Senior Data Analyst will include the analysis of database development efforts across all teams based upon the needs of the end users. You may also be assigned various projects like, being the liaison between the business and technical teams by planning, conducting, directing and documenting the analysis of complex business problems to be solved with reports, dashboards, including the warehouse.

The ideal candidate is someone with advanced working knowledge of database architecture and Microsoft SQL Server. Some of the essentials skills required of you in this role are, excellent computer skills, analytical/problem solving skills and communication skills with experience in furthering requirements from end users and translating to functional specifications. Prior experience with Power BI or any other Self Service BI tool, Cloud data platform (Snowflake, Azure SQL, Redshift) is preferred.

Qualifications:

Education:

• A Bachelor’s degree in related field

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 6 years of working experience in I.S. related field
• Possess 5 or more approved certifications within job area.
• Excellent computer skills, analytical/problem solving skills and communication skills
• Advanced working knowledge of database architecture and Microsoft SQL Server
• Experience furthering requirements from end users and translating to functional specifications

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with adhering to data governance standards and practices desired.
• Experience with Power BI or any other Self Service BI tool desired.
• Comfort with coaching and mentoring less experienced team members desired.
• Cloud Data Platform (Snowflake, Azure SQL, Redshift) experience a plus.
• Experience in the Insurance industry is a plus.

In our vision to be First with Co-Workers, compensation is only one piece of the comprehensive total rewards package we offer. The target salary range for this position is $92,000 to $148,000. Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, experience and geographic location.
