Edward Jones is seeking a highly skilled individual to serve as a Senior Analyst for the newly created Corporate Development and Innovation team. This individual will be a critical member of a small, nimble team that executes Edward Jones' inorganic strategic goals, including mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, venture investments, business incubations, and other strategic initiatives that have a transformative impact on the firm.
The Corporate Development Senior Analyst will be responsible to collaborate with firm stakeholders and synthesize disparate sources of information to facilitate strategic planning activities for the entire firm. Additionally, required to use rigorous, fact based, quantitative and qualitative analysis to support strategic recommendations on the most complex initiatives.
What You'll Do:
• Support the management of a portfolio of innovative investments and incubations throughout their lifecycle
• Interface with business leaders to support inorganic growth opportunities (M&A, strategic partnerships, venture) for Edward Jones - from idea to business case to deal execution and post-deal integration - taking a holistic cross-functional approach
• Assist in all aspects of the deal / investment / partnership, including sourcing, qualification, initial rationale, financial modeling, due diligence and closing & integration activities
• Coordinate and manage cross-functional deal teams with internal and external partners
• Develop complex valuation models and preparing complete valuation analysis, incorporating DCF, trading & transaction comparables, and other valuation methods
• Support the development of robust frameworks and models to evaluate inorganic growth opportunities
• Assist in Training/Mentoring more junior Corporate Development Analysts
What You'll Need:
• Bachelor's degree is required with an emphasis in Accounting, Finance, or Economics preferred. Advanced Degree(s) or Certification(s) in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Analytics are preferred.
• 6 years general Financial Services experience, or 4 years Corporate Development, Investment Banking, Private Equity, Venture Capital, Innovation, or Digital Product Development required.
*Candidates that live within in a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday.
