Smithbucklin, a 650-person, employee-owned professional services company with more than 70 years of success serving the association market, is looking for an Accounts Receivable Associate to join our team in Chicago. This is an exciting and challenging position for a detail-oriented individual with an interest in finance/accounting as well as the exciting industries of digital media, print media and in person events. What you will do:

• Creating and sending invoices to exhibitors, advertisers, and sponsors on behalf of our client associations
• Performing regular follow-up activity via phone and/or email on all outstanding exhibitor/advertiser/sponsor invoice balances
• Maintaining and updating accounts receivable records to accurately track outstanding balances and providing regular updates to unit management and relevant sales team members
• Interfacing with our client associations’ finance teams, providing reports and answering questions as necessary
• Participate in client meetings and attend conferences and tradeshows on an as-needed basis
• Maintain and submit various client reports

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year university
• 0-2 year of relevant professional experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office – particularly Excel – is a must
• Familiarity with Salesforce is a plus.
