SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the AVP of Project Management, the Business Analyst is
responsible for responsible for analyzing business processes, identifying areas of
improvement, and providing actionable insights. This position requires a dynamic and
detail-oriented Business Analyst who will be a key player in achieving strategic
objectives. Will work closely with internal teams & vendors, and will play a crucial role
in designing, developing, and delivering solutions for our Credit Union members and
internal team members. Must have a strong commitment to our SMART Pro Core
Values as well as the Mission, Vision and Purpose Statement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Analysis and Design
▪ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and document business
requirements and objectives.
▪ Conduct thorough analysis of business processes and systems to identify
areas for improvement, efficiency and to determine pain points.
▪ Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including business
requirements, process flows, and user stories.
▪ Partner with internal teams and vendor teams to develop detailed designs
that meet business requirements.
▪ Assist in the implementation and testing of new systems and processes,
ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruptions.
▪ Monitor and evaluate the performance of implemented solutions, making
necessary adjustments and improvements as needed.
▪ Collaborate with team members to ensure the successful execution of
projects and initiatives within the designated timelines.
▪ Build and maintain strong relationships with diverse business stakeholders.
Project Management
▪ Communicate and document requirements of projects with departments,
programmers, technology team, and vendors in a clear and organized fashion.
▪ Participate in project implementations including requirements gathering,
validation, beta testing, user acceptance performance, deployment, and
project closing debrief.
▪ Conduct project retrospective and create a recommendation report to identify
successful and unsuccessful project elements. Takes part in the testing of
program fixes submitted by functional department that is geared to resolving
operational problems.
▪ Coordinate with management on priorities and assignments.
Other
▪ Improve technical expertise through training.
▪ Ensure up to date knowledge in current interactive technologies, development
trends, strategies, products, and best practices.
▪ Improve overall knowledge of the Credit Union Industry and company products
and services.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree preferred (Project Management, Business or Systems Analytics or
related field), or equivalent work experience.
Thorough knowledge of credit union operations including all products and services
and applicable policies and standards preferred. Understanding of government
regulations and legal requirements involving credit union and/or banking depository
and loan programs.
Advanced understanding of complex data processing, PC, network, and technology
capabilities. Working knowledge of project management software. Understanding of
agile methodologies, including familiarity with Scrum framework.
Previous Symitar Episys experience required. Prior experience in programming and /
or financial services is a plus.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or PMI Professional in Business
Analysis (PMI-PBA) preferred.
