SilverEdge is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist in Herndon, Virginia or Columbia, MD to support vendor invoicing and employee expense processing. This position will be a part of the centralized accounting team supporting both corporate and the various business units.
Job Duties:
Verify, prepare, and coordinate approval of vendor invoices timely.
Manage and verify expense reports to ensure alignment to company’s policies and procedures.
Set up new vendors and ensure proper documentation.
Prepare weekly ach / check payment run.
Manage and reconcile open accounts payable ledger and resolve all issues.
Manage, reconcile, and analyze company credit card.
Respond to all vendor inquiries timely.
Prepare and issue annual 1099 forms.
Support month-end close.
Support annual internal and external audit.
Support ad hoc requests. Required Skills
Associates degree - Preferred in accounting, finance, or business.
3-5 years of experience with increasing responsibility in accounting or finance.
Deltek Costpoint experience
Government contracting experience.
Desired Skills
