Offit Kurman, a quickly growing full-service law firm, seeks an Accounts Receivable/Collections Specialist to join our Columbia, MD office. The AR/Collections Specialist will support the firm and be responsible for collecting aged receivables and other accounting tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Make daily collection calls, business to business and business to individual client accounts.
• Draft and send collection letters to clients.
• Monitor and report statuses on specific aged accounts receivables to manager.
• Work closely with billing team members in the accounting department.
• Work directly with attorneys as necessary on collection matters.
• Work closely with accounting clerk to help resolve unapplied monies on client accounts.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years accounts receivable and collections experience.
• Ability to organize time, prioritize workload and handle a high volume of client receivable accounts.
• Positive and proactive attitude with strong organization skills.
• Strong communications skills-written, verbal, and interpersonal.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Experience with accounting/billing software and ability to learn multiple different systems.
