Senate, NYS is Hiring an Accounts Payable Clerk Near Albany, NY
- A two (2) year college degree is preferred, but not required
- Detail-oriented individual with initiative
- Organized and able to multi-task
- Able to work independently, with minimal supervision as well as with others; team player
- Familiarity with the NYS Financial Management System (SFMS) is preferred, but not required
- Familiarity with EXCEL is preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and process incoming vendor invoices for accuracy, ensure required authorizations, signatures, receiving and supporting documents are in order
- Provide administrative support to office staff and management as needed
- Maintain organized files and records on all processed Purchase Orders, Invoices and Payment Vouchers according to Senate guidelines
- Interact professionally with other vendors, Senate members and office staff as well as representatives from other state agencies to resolve any issues and/or inquiries
