Second District Brewing Co is looking to add a General Manager to the team to focus on establishing and implementing standards and practices for all on-premise service and events. 

Second District Brewing Co is an established brewery and brewpub founded in 2017, operating in both South Philadelphia at its home base on Bancroft Street and seasonally in Honesdale, PA as a tasting room located on our property in the rolling hills of Northern PA.

The Bancroft Street brewpub issituated on a quiet back street in South Philadelphia's Newbold neighborhood, has a large inviting bar with glass garage doors that open onto Bancroft, an open kitchen, hand crafted high-top tables, and a spacious upstairs private dining room. Seven years in, and we have built a great reputation for brewing thoughtful beers coupled with friendly service and quality eats.

We are currently looking to increase our footprint in the wholesale market exponentially and expand our in-house operations by 20-30% in ourseventh year in operation. 

The GM will be responsible for all aspects of day-to-day service for both Front and Back of the House, including but not limited to:

• Staffing 
• Training
• Scheduling
• Ordering
• Receiving
• Physical Plant Oversight 
• Health Code Compliance 
• Event Planning and Execution 
• POS Management and Maintenance
• COGS and Labor Cost Management 
• Weekly P&L Summary and Review
• Manager Serve Safe and RAMP certification required (we will make accommodations to certify if not already compliant)

The GM is fully supported by an administration staff who handles payroll, insurance, taxes and gov’t affairs etc.. GM will be 100% focused on day-to-day in-house activity. 

GM is tasked primarily with increasing sales volume over the bar while maintaining excellent standards and practices. 

Candidates must have a deep attachment to all things BEER, and a minimum or 2 years management experience. Kitchen experience is also extremely valuable, in any degree.
