SUMMARY
The General Manager is responsible for the sales and operations related to truck body upfit, modification, parts, and service offerings.
Responsibilities:
o Develops a strong understanding of the commercial offerings maximizing the solutions offered to help promote and grow sales to the marketplace.
o Fosters and leads a collaborative work environment across all departments supporting customers and dealers with superior product offerings and doing so profitably.
o Establish major objectives, plans, and programs for daily operations.
o Hires, trains, motivates, counsels, and always monitors the performance of assigned team members.
o Consult with department managers and Human Resources regarding personnel decisions.
o Understands the importance of establishing key performance metrics to help educate and drive team member performance.
o Establish short and long-term operating and financial objectives for assigned location, within the Company's overall plans and policies.
o Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations related to body upfit and other related offerings.
o Assists in setting policies, processes, and procedures to meet and or exceed customer satisfaction.
o Assists team members in setting goals and objectives and monitors individual and team productivity proactively.
o Analyzes sales history, market conditions, supplier build schedules, and industry cycles to determine inventory requirements to mitigate expense burden from a floor plan standpoint and maximize customer throughput.
o Dedicated to developing strong and mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers and industry related personnel.
o Effectively represents the company and its products and services in a professional manner to all potential customers.
o Utilizes effective customer relations and sales principles that will ensure customer satisfaction with the products and services offered by the company, promoting business opportunities that are complimentary to all business offerings.
o Communicates effectively with all departments to maintain and foster a team spirit through cooperation and mutual respect.
o Performs various business duties as assigned by management, including active participation in meetings.
o Assists in the development of advertising and marketing campaigns and promotions.
o Maintain professional appearance.
o Challenges the status quo.
o Other duties as needed.
