Schwaller's Painting & Staining is Hiring a Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant Near Plymouth, WI

Position Description: Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant

The purpose of this job is to be the “Go to” person in a small office. You will need to perform the accounting and bookkeeping duties of the business along with internally the supporting the owner, sales and operational functions of the business. Primary tasks include Quickbooks accounting, payroll, creating estimates and invoices, reconciling bank statements along with basic administrative office duties.

Key attributes include being able to work well with other team members as well as on your own. Organization, communication, attention to detail, Quickbooks and Microsoft office skills are required. The ideal candidate will be able to problem solve and work independently when needed.

  • Create formal estimates in Quickbooks
  • Create invoice from estimate using Quickbooks
  • Track accounts receivables and payables
  • Issue checks and follow up on time
  • Send out statements for overdue invoices
  • Monitor work flow, estimate and invoice status’s and update spreadsheets accordingly
  • Complete payroll and appropriate tax info on time as needed
  • Answer phone calls and get mail
  • Maintain organized company and customer files
  • Reconcile bank statements on Quickbooks
  • Track and update SP&S checkbook
  • Order supplies for the office
  • Get quarterly info to accountant for forms 940 and 941
  • Track monthly budget numbers
  • File any necessary information

Candidates should have a business, finance or accounting degree or equivalent 4 years or more experience. Job is for full time work 40 hrs per week Monday – Friday – normal business hours

Pay range $20 - $28 per hour depending on experience

Benefits include training, retirement, vacation, holiday and supplemental insurance.
