ABOUT THE GMP TEAM
GMP team is a part of Global Cloud Services (GCS) organization and the Platform and Services (PSO) department. GMP team is responsible for operations and management of SAP internal GMP IaaS platform, which runs PaaS/SaaS solutions from various Cloud LoBs (line of businesses). GMP is the largest and the most critical productive IaaS platforms in different SAP DCs world-wide. The most critical goal for GMP team is to safeguard GMP IaaS platform to have zero-outages and minimum of MTTRs.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
As a technical project manager, you are responsible for the agile project management of GMP IAAS/PAAS SCRUM and Kanban teams. You are responsible for the project management and backlog prioritization, addressing problem management and ad-hoc incident management topics in the agile project teams, root cause analysis and improvements for the GMP platform. You will also play a key role in establishing, maintaining, and enforcing standards that will ensure the platforms stability and quick provisioning, allowing agile delivery for all projects. You support the team on the daily, ever-changing operations as well as sprints, support decisions, and escalations. With our framework, we want to address SLAs targets with our clients vertically (compute-> storage-> network), driving projects that include implementation, quality improvement, automation, and optimization of the IAAS/PAAS processes and execution. You should be able to work functional silos (network, backup, compute, storage) and other organizational units (architecture, design and engineering) to drive values to Cloud LoBs and external customers. You must be able to discuss, negotiate, and determine the best solutions for the interest of SAP.
