The NA Delivery State, Local, Education & Healthcare (SLED-HC) market unit is responsible for the success of projects within our customer portfolio. Specifically, we manage all aspects of the contracts including scope, cost, timeline, SAP resources, quality and achieving customer success.

We are seeking an Associate Project Manager (APM) candidate. The APM role is responsible for assisting overall management of the project, including the Business and Technical aspects of the work as it relates to the stated scope of the engagement. The APM assists with the program deliverables and assist with the day-to-day program management. The APM must anticipate program deviations and take immediate corrective action. The APM will support the Project Manager (PM) with any escalations of project issues.

Key tasks of the role include the following:

  • Assist with the PM on strategies and procedures for efficient and effective implementation 
  • Assist with the PM to develop and maintain the schedule with program priorities 
  • Assist with the PM to develop and manage project scope, budget, and schedules in accordance with approved plans
  • Assist with the PM to allocate and manage project resources
  • Resolve escalated issues in a timely manner
  • Assist with the quality oversight of SAP functional and development teams
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer between team members
  • Support project financial forecasting needs
  • Track deliverables and manages issues and risks
  • Monitor and report on project progress

Experience

  • University degree - communication's focus a plus
  • Project Management experience preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
  • Flexible and self-motivated
  • Eager to learn and grow
  • Excellent Team Player. Must work with team to achieve project and customer success
  • Intercultural sensitivity
  • Courage to ask question or challenge status quo

  Educational and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Experience in Project Management
  • Experience with SAP Activate Methodology
  • Experience with Microsoft Orange Belt scheduling tool
  • SAP Consulting experience preferred
