Role Summary

The Regulated Industries Services Sales Manager will play a pivotal role in translating the SAP Services strategy into tangible business results and meaningful outcomes for our customers. This leader will have full accountability for development and management of a high-performing sales team, owning and driving business growth across the Public Sector, Aerospace, Healthcare, and Utilities industries, driving the team to achieve and exceed business targets, and aligning with the emerging SAP Services outcomes-based strategy. The principal responsibilities for this role will be overseeing functions that drive cloud adoption and consumption, generating a balanced volume business by penetrating a broader set of customer segments, and empowering the SAP ecosystem with joint customer and partner success in mind. As a people manager he/she facilitates team development and sets high-performance standards and strategic priorities, ensures success of each team member. The sales leader will be responsible for business development and value-based market penetration strategies. Some key responsibilities in this role include Team Management, Sales Management, Partner/Stakeholder Management and Transformational Leadership.

Experience and Role Requirements

  • 5 years in sales leadership positions within enterprise software and services industry, preferably in the Regulated Industries- Utilities, Public Sector, Defense Industrial Base, Healthcare, Education
  • Ability to build a demand generation culture by embracing a customer-first mentality that incorporates industry expertise, business outcomes, and innovation thought leadership
  • Organize and align resources to maximize return on cost-of-sales investment by exhibiting a disciplined Go-To-Market approach and a solid understanding of operational levers and metrics
  • Demonstrate operational excellence by delivering and supporting a reliable business outlook and forecast according to Services Sales Organization methodology
  • Lead a diverse team to become results-oriented through active employee engagement, visionary communication and coaching, and strategic goal setting that effects motivation and accountability
  • Strong sales leadership and performance management experience
  • Apply consistent logic, rationality and ethical objectivity in decision making, achieving a balance between decisiveness and systematic problem solving
  • Proven ability to build, develop and drive diverse, high-performing teams
