As a Maître d', you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth operation of the dining room and ensuring exceptional customer service. Your primary duties will include: 1. Guest Management:Greeting guests upon arrival, escorting them to their tables, and providing menus. Ensuring that guests have an enjoyable dining experience by attending to their needs throughout their meal. 2. Reservations:Managing reservation systems, confirming bookings, and coordinating seating arrangements to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction. 3. Staff Supervision:Directing and supervising dining room staff, including servers, hosts/hostesses, and bussers. Providing training and guidance to maintain high standards of service. 4. Problem Resolution:Addressing guest concerns and complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring issues are resolved to the guest's satisfaction. 5. Floor Management:Monitoring the flow of the dining room, managing table assignments, and maintaining an organized seating plan to maximize efficiency and accommodate walk-in guests. 6. Communication:Liaising with kitchen staff to communicate guest preferences, special requests, and any food allergies or dietary restrictions. Coordinating with the bar team to ensure timely beverage service. 7. Quality Assurance: Upholding the restaurant's standards of cleanliness, presentation, and hospitality. Conducting regular inspections of the dining area to ensure tables are properly set and ambiance is welcoming. 8. Salesmanship: Promoting menu items, specials, and promotions to guests. Encouraging upselling and suggestive selling techniques to enhance the dining experience and increase revenue. Requirements: -Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, preferably in upscale dining establishments. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing outstanding customer service. - Strong leadership abilities, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team of staff members. - Attention to detail and organizational skills to effectively manage reservations, seating plans, and guest preferences. - Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations, with the flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances. - Knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including wine pairings and cocktail selections. - Familiarity with reservation management software and POS systems.
