Summary: The Supply Chain Buyer is responsible for maintaining the appropriate customer service levels (fill rates), the efficient use of the Company’s inventory assets (turns), and communications with the S.P. Richards Branches and / or vendors for which responsibility is assigned.
Location: Smyrna, GA (near Truist Partk)
Hours: Mon-Fri 8:00am - 5:00pm

Education and/or Experience:
Computer Skills: must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel and must be able to run SQL queries
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to document business processes and procedures. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Organizational Skills:
Must be detail oriented and exceptional in organization techniques. Must be self-motivated, with ability to set and achieve goals, and set priorities of multiple tasks in order to meet deadlines.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and make sound business process decisions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
