Purpose:

This position directly sits within Berry Direct, an owned Edible Brands Supply Chain Company. As a Supply Chain Manager, you will take the lead in the end-to-end supply chain process for the non-perishables category with a focus on optimizing existing products and processes, while also integrating new innovative products into the category.

Your highly cross-functional role will have a significant impact on driving sales and profits by ensuring BerryDirect delivers products at the right time, in the right quantities, at the right price, with the right quality and to the right locations.

Location:This position will require working onsite at our home office in Sandy Springs, GA 4-5 days per week 

What that looks like day to day:

  • Manage inventory levels for all products in the non-perishables category to achieve business goals 
  • Vendor selection work directly with vendors and manufacturers on product proposals to select the vendor with the most optimal products and terms
  • Work with finance team on product cost-analysis 
  • Foster strong relationships and communication channels with cross-functional teams, such as Product Development and eCommerce, ensuring alignment on product sales, holiday promotions, and key initiatives where focused supply chain efforts are needed to drive sales to achieve promotional and seasonal goals 
  • Place purchase orders from vendors/manufacturers
  • Monitor supply chain logistics, ensuring on-time delivery with close coordination with forwarder and fulfillment center team.
  • Work with internal team to manage marketplace availability and promotions
  • Develop new vendor and/or manufacturer relationships based on business needs that support growth of sales and gain business competitiveness
  • Analyze and deliver monthly reporting on inventory, sales, lead-time, and other key initiatives and projects 
  • Capture performance metrics and management control points for processes and track key metrics at the department level
  • Contribute to supply chain innovation projects that bring our systems, processes, and products to a new and exciting level – all focused on improving value, quality and service to our franchisees and other new clients.
  • Ensure supply chain goals and processes align with both the short- and long-term priorities initiatives based on product demands 
  • Maintain consistent focus on enhancing capabilities across the enterprise to achieve broad businessobjectivesincluding reduction of cost, continuous improvement in quality, serviceability, and risk management. 
  • Develops detailed "As-Is" process maps and optimize business processes to increase operational efficiency
  • Aid in the response of escalated supply chain support tickets from the franchise network
  • Extend the value proposition of BerryDirect to new stakeholders, and acquisitions to fully leverage the global reach and competency in international markets 
  • All other tasks and projects assigned based on business needs 

You Have: 

  • 3 years of supply chain experience, food packaging, home décor or gifting-related supply chains preferred
  • Knowledge of the strategic sourcing, procurement lifecycle and procurement best practices and methods 
  • Experience in developing and delivering reports/presentations to senior management outlining gaps, benefits, status, issues and recommendations
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Access, MS PowerPoint, MS Vision and any other related software 
  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Someone who focuses on driving results, with abias for action, and is known for acting swiftly and decisively, recognizing the importance of timely execution and quality product deliverables.
  • A master of balancing multiple assignments and meet criticaldeadlines
  • Willing and able to be flexible during peak promotional events and Holidays that may require evenings and weekend support
