Job Overview:
We seek a highly motivated and experienced Director of Marketing to join our growing team at CapeStart for a ground floor opportunity to participate in the success of the firm. In this newly created position, you will be responsible for managing our marketing efforts in collaboration with CapeStart’s leadership team. You will evaluate, develop, and communicate our strategy, plan and coordinate marketing efforts, and build awareness of CapeStart’s services and solutions. You will work closely with our sales team to revamp CapeStart.com, build a new site dedicated to our Life Sciences solutions, create marketing materials/case studies, and organize conferences, webinars, and other lead generation initiatives.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of the value proposition and messaging with an emphasis on business outcome and ROI
- Plan, direct, and coordinate all marketing efforts
- Evaluate/develop our marketing strategy in collaboration with internal stakeholders
- Develop and manage the marketing budget
- Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices
- Develop and implement new ideas for brand awareness
- Work with sales team to develop successful strategies and campaigns
- Lead and organize our participation in conferences, trade shows, and webinars
- Oversee social media marketing strategy and content marketing
- Develop marketing collateral, including case studies, newsletters, original content, and presentations
- Create and update marketing promotional activities (e.g., websites, social media, lead generation mail)
- Build and manage relationships with external vendors and freelancers
- Lead product marketing content development
- Outline product marketing deployment timelines
- Craft product storytelling vision and voice for existing and future products in collaboration with Product Management and Sales
Requirements:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills
- Analytical and creative thinking
- 7 years of work experience in marketing in the technology industry
- Prefer prior working experience with technology product/service providers to Pharma and Medtech companies
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field
- Experience defining vision, voice, and value proposition for complex, industry-specific products
- Up to speed with current and online marketing techniques and best practices
