School Operations Manager

Job Summary

Responsible for all duties that are not directly related to instruction including assisting the director in managing school activities; supervising support personnel; coordinating activities such as special events and food preparation; transportation and building maintenance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Uphold the mission, values, policies and procedures of Roundup Fellowship.
  • Develop and implement school-wide non-instructional systems and procedures that ensure operational excellence within the school. Systems include but are not limited to: transportation, community outings, safety, food program, procurement, compliance tracking, and budget management.
  • Capture and organize key school data with reliability for the creation and completion of various compliance reports (i.e., Therap, Infinite Campus, etc.).
  • Manage and successfully complete all necessary compliance reporting (Colorado Department of Human Services, TRAILS, Health Department).
  • Ensure that all fire, life, and safety regulations and procedures are implemented ensuring the well being of all school staff and students.
  • Manage the daily execution of the school’s food program.
  • Ensure that the transportation needs of students are met.
  • Oversee all janitorial needs to ensure that the school is well maintained by working with the maintenance department.
  • Manage school’s inventory process.
  • Serve as on-site IT contact, including managing IT assets.
  • Meet with school leadership team regularly to discuss goals, progress towards goals, trends and challenges, areas for growth, and action plans.
  • Create a culture of service and support developing team members to excel in their roles and ensuring the school maintains operational excellence.
  • Communicate respectfully and thoughtfully with parent/guardians.
  • Assist in creating a school culture with staff, parents and students focused on strong achievement, respect and high expectations for behavior.
  • Ensure staff members understand the procedures and have the resources to operate effectively.
  • Reflect critically upon operational leadership experience, identify areas for further professional development as part of a professional development plan that is linked to school and network goals, access meaningful learning experiences, and listen thoughtfully to other viewpoints and respond constructively to suggestions and criticisms.

Qualifications


Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Minimum age of 25.
  • A related bachelor’s degree and 2-years experience in related field.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak the English language for required paperwork, testing, and professional communication.
  • Ability to operate a computer utilizing Microsoft Office.
  • Supervision of school campus during school hours.
  • Responsible for implementation of community board curriculum schedule
  • Colorado Driver’s license and the ability to drive a 10-passenger vehicle.
  • Satisfactory Central Registry and FBI record check.
  • Ability to do simple math calculations and analyze data.
  • Must be able to resolve problems, handle conflict, and make effective decisions under pressure while dealing with a variety of emotions and frustrations.
  • Requires scheduling flexibility.
  • Ability to work as a team member. Ability to communicate effectively with respect and tact in order to give, receive, and analyze information, formulate plans, prepare materials.

BASIC & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to lift and carry clients with adaptive equipment.
  • Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing) for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to sit on the floor or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be willing and able to restrain/hold/transport and utilize quick body movements as indicated in the Behavior Intervention Plan in the course of working with children with challenging behavior.
  • Must have manual dexterity to perform specific computer and electronic device functions for data collection.
  • Must be physically present at the assigned job location, which may include home, school, and community placements.
  • Must be able to receive detailed information through oral communication.
  • Must have visual acuity to read and comprehend written communication through computer, electronic devices, and paper means.
