Prescient Edge is seeking a Junior General and Operations Manager (Protocol Specialist) to support a federal government client.

Please note that the availability of this position is contingent upon contract award.

Junior General and Operations Manager (Protocol Specialist)

Job description:

Performs protocol duties for Combined Joint Task Force– Space Operations (CJTF- SO) Commander (CDR), Command Senior Enlisted Leader (CSEL), Deputy Commander (DCDR), Chief of Staff (COS), senior leaders, and subordinate offices. Leads protocol support and advises Action Officers (AO) on proper etiquette, courtesies, and product placement required for all events, meetings, visits, conferences, and ceremonies. Coordinates and secures resources and personnel needed for flawless execution of protocol services.

Primary duty responsibilities:

  • Compile protocol product requirements from the COS, subject matter experts, higher headquarters, and functional components within 24 hours in support of meetings, visits, and events involving CJTF-SO CDR, DCDR, COS, CSEL, and their guests.
  • Setup venue, free of debris or trash, and place products IAW AFI 34-1201; ensure any beverage and/or food items are provided in which CJTF- SO leadership have directed their need.
  • Assist CJTF-SO protocol daily operations by monitoring protocol workflow inbox/Outlook calendar, securing meeting/event/ceremony venues, reserving lodging, editing/updating meeting slides, updating CJTF- SO Strategic Calendar, answering/directing phone calls, marking parking and equipment reservations.
  • Provide protocol expertise to ensure events, meetings, visits, and conferences are executed IAW local procedures and AFI 34-1201.
  • Lead protocol planning and contact Action Officers (AO) within 24 hours for events involving CDR/DCDR/COS/CSEL; respond to plan deviations within 2 hours of recognition to ensure little to no impact to event.
  • Provide support to Distinguished Visitors, meetings, events, and ceremonies as directed by the protocol Director.
  • Coordinate with AOs in the drafting, reviewing, and editing of event books for protocol accuracy.
  • Work flexible hours as approved by Contracting Officer.
  • Provide inputs to Monthly Status Reports to contract Team Lead.

Relevant experience:

Must have at least 3 years’ experience in:

  • Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Adobe PDF.
  • Protocol support to General/Flag Officers, senior enlisted, and/or senior government officials.
Job Requirements

Required education:

  • BA/BS degree highly desired. Knowledge is mandatory of English composition, grammar, and spelling. Military etiquette and procedure as well as exemplary planning and cordial communication skills are required.

Security Clearance:

  • Current Top-Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility.

  • Peterson SFB, Colorado Springs, CO.
