In this important and demanding role, you will ensure that all stakeholders are aware of the potential hazards/risks and precautionary safety measures through your proactive support, training, and mentoring. As you can likely tell, no day will be the same. Of course, there will be similarities, but some of your responsibilities include:

• Leading site-specific safety programs, orientations, and risk assessments
• Developing Job Hazard Analyses and safety work plans with site teams
• Identifying, evaluating, and recommending controls of hazardous working conditions to decrease incidents/accidents
• Conducting and submitting all site safety inspections keeping all local, state, and federal OSHA requirements as well as RO’s Construction requirements in mind
• Documenting and investigating all incidents, near misses, unsafe conditions, as well as non-compliance activities.

Your 3 years of experience in a safety role (construction experience is a plus but not necessary), OSHA 30 and First Aid/CPR certifications will allow you to lead change and help change the safety industry for future generations of builders. How will you do this? Our RO family is known to be innovative and push boundaries, and our Safety department is no different. Recently, our Safety Director Ross Daily, and laborers on the SMU Cox School of Business were featured on the ‘Today Show’ and other Media outlets/news sources for being the world’s first construction company to implement a wearable device to track internal signs and symptoms of heat related injuries.
