About Rocky Mountain Prep

Rocky Mountain Prep is a growing network of innovative public charter schools, serving students in pre-kindergarten through fifth grade in the Greater Denver Area. Rocky Mountain Prep (RMP) opened its first school in 2012 with 130 students and has grown to four schools, working with over 1,800 scholars across two districts. Grounded in our culture of rigor and love, our schools consistently outperform local districts academically, while also ensuring our scholars are developing in our PEAK values of perseverance, excellence, adventure, and kindness. In the school year 2023-2024, we will grow to 12 schools serving over 5,000 students in grades PK-12th.

We seek teachers and staff who are interested in developing students into outstanding human beings in their academic and personal lives by role modeling our culture of Rigor and Love. Implement our data-driven curriculum with the tools they’ve gained from experience while they adapt to the needs of their students.

During the 2023-2024 school year, RMP is driving after five big goals:

  1. Going Green on the Colorado School Performance Framework
  2. 90% Student Persistence
  3. 95% Average Daily Attendance
  4. Fully Enrolled by October Count
  5. Academics:
    1. PreK Students demonstrate one year of growth
    2. Kinder through 2nd Grade Students grow 1.25 years in ELA and Math
    3. 40% of 3rd through 5th grade students meet their Millionaire Goal (one million words read)
    4. 40% of 6th through 8th grade students meet their millionaire goal (two million words read)
    5. High school: 100% College Acceptance
 

Each member of the organization plays a part in achieving these goals. School-based staff members will work towards 2 or 3 metrics that are aligned to both their individual roles AND the Big 5. 

 

Role Mission

Reporting to the Vice President of the People Experience Team, the Talent Acquisition Partner is responsible for sourcing, recruiting and hiring talented candidates. They will oversee the strategy and execution of teacher and staff recruitment in the network, build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers and external partners, and manage all recruitment efforts. The Talent Acquisition Partner will work to ensure that we have top talent who will contribute to the overall success of our organization while making a positive impact on scholar learning and outcomes.

About the Role 

 

Recruitment and Candidate Communication

  • Oversee the entire hiring process, including managing the talent pipeline, conducting resume reviews, phone interviews, and scheduling final interviews
  • Clearly track all candidate touch points within JazzHR (our applicant tracking system) and manage all candidate information
  •  Respond to all applications and candidate emails with 24-72 hours (pending job specific)
  • Provide intentional feedback throughout the interview process that leads to candidate success and individual growth
  • Work with fellow team members to ensure all aspects of the interview process is equitable and reflects the values and mission of Rocky Mountain Prep
  • Ensure that 90% mid-year replacement openings are filled within two weeks and Rocky Mountain Prep is 100% hired for all open positions by the first day of professional development in summer 2024
 

Recruitment Strategy and Implementation

  • Develop and implement a strong recruitment strategy that can be added to the talent playbook to increase accountability on the clear whys behind the process
  • Co-create and co-lead PD sessions for hiring managers that result in an efficient and equitable hiring season
  • Consistently review staffing data, and utilize a recruitment strategy to identify key recruitment events that will result in sourcing highly-qualified candidates
  • Actively source qualified teachers and school staff at job fairs, with LinkedIn Recruiter, and by running social media campaigns
  • Nurture and develop relationships with applicants that lead to future employment as well as adding to our applicant pool
  • Track and utilize job board data to ensure ROI in the recruitment process
  • Update and develop job descriptions and job postings to reflect the organizations values
  • Build on existing partnerships and increase RMP visibility at both the local and out-of-state level to attract exceptional talent
  • Set vision for recruitment and marketing materials, with an emphasis on our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion

Recruitment Evergreens

  • Respond to all phone inquiries, email inquiries, and applications within 24-48 hours of receipt.
  • Clearly track touchpoints with applicants in JazzHR (ATS) to improve processing time. 
  • Respond to talent team emails, phone calls, and text requests to increase efficiency and capacity in work.
  • Act as a culture carrier to staff.
  • Create informal ways to connect with NST, staff, school leads, RMP families, and scholars.
  • Exemplify excellence and an exceptional customer service orientation leading to 90% of hiring managers report being satisfied or highly satisfied with their partnership with the talent team 

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience participating in recruitment OR working in schools. This could look like:
    • 2 years of direct recruiting experience, candidate processing, and hiring
    • 1 year of recruiting experience and 1 year of school experience (teaching, administration, or operations)
  • Track record of success in recruitment, sales, or outreach context, including recruiting and/or working with diverse constituents
  • Strong orientation to DEI, learning, and equitable practices

Preferred

  • Knowledge of school systems and talent acquisition
  • Proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) like JazzHR, Greenhouse, etc.
  • Experience in education or nonprofit context is strongly preferred

Salary 

This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position with a salary range of $55,000 to $65,000.
