A well known Robert Half client is in immediate need for an interim Tax Accountant for the next 2-3 months minimum.
Responsibilities:
ASC 740 Compliance:
Assist with the preparation and review of tax provision calculations in accordance with ASC 740 for financial statement reporting purposes.
Ensure accurate and timely completion of income tax provision calculations, including deferred taxes and uncertain tax positions.
ASC 704B and ASC 704C Compliance:
Expertise in partnership tax accounting under ASC 704B and ASC 704C, with the ability to navigate complex partnership structures and allocations.
Oversee the preparation of partnership tax returns and related compliance matters.
Tax Planning and Analysis:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement tax planning opportunities and strategies.
Analyze financial data to provide insights into tax implications and support decision-making processes.
Documentation and Record Keeping:
Maintain organized and well-documented workpapers to support tax positions and compliance.
Ensure compliance with all documentation requirements under ASC 740, ASC 704B, and ASC 704C.
Research and Stay Current:
Stay abreast of changes in tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards related to ASC 740, ASC 704B, and ASC 704C.
Conduct research on tax issues and provide recommendations to management.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and tax authorities, to address inquiries and provide necessary documentation.
Communicate complex tax issues in a clear and concise manner to non-tax professionals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or advanced degree preferred.
Proven experience as a Tax Accountant with a focus on ASC 740, ASC 704B, and ASC 704C compliance.
Strong understanding of US GAAP and tax accounting principles.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and meeting deadlines.
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
Additional "nice to have" include OneSource, CorpTax, SAP, and Alteryx. These are not required but a plus
