Human Resources GeneralistHuman Resources Generalist to work closely with the HR Director in running the daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) department, including recruiting, benefits, employee relations, training and development, compensation, and administering company policies and best practices. If you like building things or thinking of ways to improve, streamline or scale, then you might find this a fun and interesting challenge and we would love to hear from you!What You’ll Do• Recruiting and hiring to include job descriptions, various recruiting and sourcing activities, offer letters, background checks, New Hire documents and Orientation• Benefits Administration, including enrollments, changes, terminations, and bill reconciliations, FMLA, leaves, open enrollment activities• Payroll administration• Employee Relations, including handling employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, supervisors, and business partners on a variety of subjects, addressing disputes and investigations, performance and talent management, productivity, recognition, and morale, recommending training and development as needed and referring complex or sensitive matters to appropriate staff• Partners with appropriate staff to address safety concerns (OSHA)• Drives DEI initiatives• Maintains records appropriately and in compliance with employment laws and best practices• Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance• Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law• Performs other duties as assignedQualifications• 3 - 5 years’ experience working in Human Resources• Bachelor’s degree with a specialization in Human Resources or SHRM-CP/PHR certification• Demonstrated experience in full cycle recruiting• Proven ability to build relationships across all levels of an organization• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to present complex information in terms easily understandable to others outside the HR field• Strong knowledge of MS 365• Understanding of HR systems (Paychex preferred)• Intellectual curiosity, with a drive toward developing solutions• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
