Robert Half is partnered with a healthcare company who is seeking support from candidates with hospital billing, revenue cycle, reimbursement experience. This Hospital Billing position is immediate, long-term contract, and 100% REMOTE! This contract position is for a San Diego based company, that is 100% remote, and expected to last through July 2024 or beyond.
You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that that reflects payer reimbursement contract terms and rates to adhere to hospital price transparency laws. This temporary role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the advancement of healthcare transparency while gaining valuable experience in the healthcare sector.
We are seeking candidates with familiarity with pricing transparency, hospital charge description master elements, reimbursement, contract terms, and methodologies who can support in this critical project.
Laptop and equipment will be fully provided for this 100% remote position.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze and interpret payer reimbursement contract terms and rates to understand pricing structures and requirements.
Collaborate with our software development team to integrate contract translation functionality into the software, ensuring accuracy and compliance with hospital price transparency laws.
Validate translated contract terms and rates within the software to ensure consistency and reliability.
Stay informed about changes and updates in healthcare regulations and reimbursement policies related to hospital price transparency, incorporating them into the translation process as needed.
Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to prioritize tasks and drive project success.
Qualifications:
At least 2 years of relevant experience in a hospital setting, preferably in a role involving revenue cycle management, pricing analysis, or financial operations.
Strong knowledge of hospital charge description master elements, including revenue codes, CPT/HCPCS codes, modifiers, and other relevant healthcare coding systems.
Familiarity with healthcare reimbursement methodologies, including fee schedules, percent of charge, case rates, and per diems.
Familiarity with hospital price transparency requirements
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and manipulate complex data.
Attention to detail and accuracy in translating and inputting contract terms into software systems.
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with the capacity to work effectively in a team environment.
