Robert Half has an immediate opening for an Accounts Payable Specialist for a 6 month project. The Accounts Payable Specialist is a core member of the Finance Team. This role’s primary function is theprocessing of daily accounting transactions including accounts payable invoice processing, cash disbursements,purchase order processing and other Accounts Payable related functions for multiple companies. This position willwork closely with the Senior Accountant and Accounting Manager with opportunities to further develop processeswithin our rapidly growing company. The ideal Accounts Payable Specialist will have experience with full cycleAccounts Payable accounting and the willingness to learn as a member of a public company accounting team.Duties and Responsibilities: Process vendor invoices, check requests, and expense reports for payment Process purchase requisitions and generate purchase orders Ensure that all invoices are properly approved and coded in the general ledger, per internal controlrequirements Complete periodic vendor disbursements utilizing varying payment types (e.g. ACH, wire, credit card) Research and resolve vendor invoice issues Maintain vendor records including W-9 forms and issuing 1099s Apply for and establish Vendor accounts Maintain all Accounts Payable records Understand and adhere to all internal control processes and responsibilitiesOther Duties Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities,duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
