Job Description: Accounting AssistantResponsibilities:1. Assist with daily bookkeeping duties in maintaining the company's financial records including managing accounts payable and receivable.2. Record daily transactions, including cash, checks, and vouchers into the company’s general ledger.3. Participate in the monthly close process by preparing reports and analyses as required.4. Ensure accurate processing of payroll including wages, employee expense claims and other payouts.5. Prepare and send invoices and receipts to debtors, process invoices, and maintain invoice documentation.6. Reconcile the company’s bank statements and books in a timely manner.7. Prepare and handle tax forms, financial statements, and other financial reports for review by the senior accountant.8. Assist with financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements.9. Maintain and update accounting records and files.10. Recommend, develop and maintain financial databases and software systems.
