SUMMARY

Manage bank project portfolio, including both information technology (IT) projects and non-information technology projects. Work with all levels of the Bank as well as 3 parties to plan, and implement projects, including serving as liaison between business and technical aspects of projects. Plan project stages and assess business implications for each stage. Monitor progress to assure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establish and execute a project documentation and communication plan for each project.
  • Development of strategies and priorities to insure timely completion of assigned projects.
  • Serve as liaison between Information Technology and Business Stakeholders
  • Analyze and document business processes and procedures.
  • Provide coordination of vendor evaluation and selection including requirements gathering and requests for proposal.
  • Work with project stakeholders regarding implementation of projects including development of plan, selection of project team, determination of resources needed.
  • Confer with project team to identify and resolve problems
  • Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Initiate, review, or recommend modifications to project plans. Serve as secretary of the Technology Committee to ensure strategic alignment of project portfolio.
  • Analyze and document business processes and procedures.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Attend appropriate software vendor user conferences and seminars.
  • Provide network users with training and technical support.
  • Manage software vendor relationships.
  • Participate in and complete training objectives with passing scores.
  • Follow all Riverview Community Bank policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

RELATIONSHIPS

  • Regular contact with senior managers to discuss direction of existing and new procedures.
  • Confer with department managers/supervisors providing assistance and coordination of system operations.
  • Regular contact with representatives of software system vendors.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have comprehensive knowledge regarding bank software systems. The individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and independently with little guidance required. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Project Manager I: Bachelor’s degree: and two or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Project Manager II: Bachelor’s degree: and seven or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

May supervise staff. Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

SKILLS:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present complex information in one-on-one situations to coworkers.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as interest accrual, percentages, ratios, and other concepts of basic to intermediate algebra. Basic to intermediate accounting skills.
  • Proficient in bank software systems in addition to ancillary programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to analyze complex problems involving several variables in unique situations.
  • Ability to work independently to accomplish departmental goals and standards.
  • Ability to offer flexibility in a changing work environment is imperative.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk, see and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to walk. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision in computer work.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock in working with standard office equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

The salary for a Project Manager I will be between $64,833 and $94,656. The salary for a Project Manager II will be between $80,671 and $119,392. The specific salary offered will depend on several factors including but not limited to applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience. Hired candidate may be eligible for healthcare benefits, 401K plan, short term & long-term disability coverage, life insurance, vacation & sick time, educational assistance, and several holidays. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards.
