Summary Description: This position is responsible for reviewing and posting of various Accounts Payable and Purchase Order transactions in a multi-company environment. This position works closely with raw materials/packaging buyers, purchasing and receiving personnel to obtain proper approvals and gather data to effectively and accurately process the above documents. This also includes filing, creating and maintaining spreadsheets, general ledger account reconciliation, and assigned period-end closing tasks.

Essential Functions/Key Responsibilities

• Maintain vendor files
• Monitor and match receiving documents to invoices and purchase orders for payment approval and accrual purposes at month-end.
• Perform data entry of invoices received from vendors.
• Verify pricing is correct.
• Ensure invoices are processed timely to maximize potential vendor discount dollars.
• Obtain proper approvals for payment and ensure company policies are enforced.
• Audit freight bills against freight manifests and match to material ordered.
• Answer vendor inquiries.
• Deliver customer service to various other departments within the ENTEK companies.
• Prepare weekly check, wire transfers and ACH transactions as required.
• Prepare analysis of accounts as required.
• Assist in month-end close.
• Reconciliation and analysis of assigned General Ledger accounts.
• Reconciliation, analysis and maintenance of A/P sub-ledgers.
• Implementation of A/P accounting policies, procedures and practices.
• Prepare credit applications for new vendors as required.
• Position may progress into back up accounts receivable as necessary.
• Other projects and duties as assigned.
• Assist in month-end inventory process.
• Provide support for annual audit.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

• High School diploma or GED.
• Two or more years of Accounts Payable and/or credit and collections experience.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• PC and Microsoft Office skills.
• Understanding general ledger and sub-ledgers.
• Knowledge of 1099 filings.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including effective oral and written communication.
• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge.

Knowledge, Experience & Capabilities:

Critical knowledge

• Knowledge of Accounting Practices and understanding of debits and credits.
• Successful candidate will communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret most documents.

Critical experience

• General office skills such as computer operation, 10-key by touch, typing accuracy.
• Banking experience including processing international wires.
• Experience in AP.

Critical technical, professional and personal capabilities

• Ability to maintain regular, reliable and predictable attendance.
• Represent ENTEK with the highest standard of professional conduct when interacting with coworkers, customers, and/or vendors.

• Ability to understand and communicate in conversational English, including following verbal and written direction.

Salary Range: $21.00 - $26.00/hour DOE
