Job Description

Riceland Foods is hiring a Manager Compensation. The Manager of Compensation will oversee the wages and benefits that employees receive for their work. They will develop compensation programs, monitor their effectiveness, and make revisions when necessary.

Job Duties

  • Manages the Implementation and administration of compensation programs.
  • Provides leadership and expertise to direct report: ensures they are provided with appropriate tools to successfully execute responsibilities.
  • Must be accountable and reliable for overall quality control and auditing to ensure accuracy, low error or defect percentage, must lead efforts to continually improve in these areas.
  • Researching market trends to evaluate the competitiveness of salaries.
  • Monitors the effectiveness of existing compensation practices and recommends changes that are cost-effective and consistent with compensation trends and corporate objectives.
  • Develops techniques for compiling, preparing, and presenting data.
  • Oversees the participation in salary surveys and monitors salary survey data to ensure corporate compensation objectives are achieved.
  • Conducting surveys to assess employee satisfaction with pay and benefits.
  • ADP billing and invoice management.
  • Manage outside vendors and invoice management.
  • Work with Compensation Analyst to complete invoicing payments on time.
  • Work with accounting to compile reports as necessary.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, human resources or related field and six years of progressively responsible experience in employee compensation.
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations as they apply to base compensation and Incentive compensation programs, company policies, and operations.
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) and certified compensation professional credentials preferred, but not required.
  • ADP experience preferred.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of all federal, state, and local regulations and compliance requirements related to employee compensation.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret and communicate data.
  • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft products, including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong team management skills.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to plan and set priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with senior management.
