About the Job: 

The Director, Finance will play an important strategic finance role at Rent the Runway by partnering closely both within the Finance organization and cross-functionally to drive business decisions and help to set long-term financial strategy. By way of first class management reporting, diligent analyses and strategic modeling, you will provide insight into business trends and new initiatives in a fast-paced and highly collaborative cross-functional environment. This role will support internal strategic initiatives, partnering with the data science, revenue/marketing, and inventory teams, while also supporting quarterly earnings processes, Board of Director materials, and executive team updates. You will also be involved in long term financial planning, unit economics modeling, analysis and tracking of key metrics, and other capital planning exercises.

What You’ll Do:

• Prepare materials for quarterly earnings calls, investor conversations, Board of Director meetings, and executive team updates.
• Prepare short term and long term financial planning scenarios across all areas of the business and prepare supporting materials/presentations.
• Lead key initiatives that drive improvement in ROI, profitability, and process reliability.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to identify and provide data-driven recommendations that optimize ROI and improve overall profitability.

About You:

• Minimum of 7 years financial experience.
• You have a strong financial and analytical background in banking, investing, FP&A or strategic finance.
• You are skilled in reporting and analysis using tools like Excel, Google Sheets, Tableau, Looker and SQL.
• You can work well with a breadth of functions including data science, operations, and accounting to analyze, package and evaluate financial performance. 
• You are an effective written and verbal communicator with strong leadership, presentation and mentorship skills.
• You are highly motivated and willing to take on multiple responsibilities at once and are able to work comfortably under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
• You are flexible and have strong interpersonal skills.

The anticipated base salary for this position is $154,000-180,000. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held. This position is also eligible for equity compensation.
