OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced Tech Program Manager with a strong background in Incident Management, Problem Management, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and improving our incident response and problem management processes, ensuring high availability and reliability of our services. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership and communication skills to manage cross-functional projects and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Incident and Problem Management: Lead the response to high-impact incidents, ensuring timely resolution and communication. Develop and implement strategies for problem management to prevent recurrence of incidents.
  • Program Management: Plan, execute, and deliver multiple projects on time and within budget. Manage project scope, timeline, quality, and risk.
  • Cross-functional Leadership: Work closely with engineering, product, and support teams to ensure alignment and collaboration across projects.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives to improve reliability, performance, and efficiency of our systems. Utilize SRE principles to build scalable and resilient systems.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for project updates, facilitating communication between stakeholders and the project team.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Develop and monitor key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of incident and problem management efforts.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5 years of experience in tech program management, incident management, problem management, or SRE.
  • Proven track record of managing complex technology projects with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience managing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Familiarity with ITIL, Agile, and SRE methodologies.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
CONTRACT DETAILS:
  • This is a 6 month contract position with potential for extension or conversion.
  • While our preferred location is in Seattle, we are open to remote candidates outside the local area.
